What to look for in air fryers
Capacity you will actually fill
Makers quote quarts. Around 4–5 qt suits one to three people; 6 qt and up, or a two-basket model, suits families and batch cooking.
Temperature range
A low floor (around 90–105°F) matters for proofing and dehydrating; a 450°F ceiling helps with searing-style crisping.
Wattage and your circuit
Most baskets draw 1,500–1,750W. Two-basket models can need a 15-amp circuit to themselves, so check the manual before sharing an outlet.
Footprint and height
Measure the counter and the gap under wall cabinets; tall baskets with handles can be deeper than the box suggests.
General guidance from manufacturer documentation. Always check the manual for your exact model. How we research.
