Mop lift and carpet handling
If you have rugs, look for automatic mop lifting (stated in millimetres) or a dock that removes the mops before carpet runs.
Threshold crossing
Door saddles and floor transitions are where robots get stuck. Compare the stated single and double-layer threshold heights.
Robot height
Measure under your sofa and bed. Slim robots (around 8 cm) reach spaces that 10–11 cm models cannot.
Suction numbers are not comparable
Pa ratings come from each maker's own tests. Treat them as a rough tier, not a precise ranking.
